Our centre has a CNS trials department specialising in conducting studies in the field of CNS disorders including Alzheimers Disease, Vascular Dementia, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Parkinson’s Disease, Anxiety, Depression and Psychotic illnesses.
This is linked closely with our Primary Care Trials Centre that focuses on conducting studies within General Practice with our local Primary Care Physicians. Examples of specialised trial populations available for these studies are listed below.
Our quality assurance Team ensures the highest standard of operating process, continuously reviewing working practice to improve client service.
Each study has a Project Manager working with a dedicated clinical team who take the trial from conception to completion. This approach delivers a consistent point of contact, ensures timing and quality commitments, tracking and enrolment of patients, clear lines of communication, accountability and continuity. Each study has regular project status meetings by the dedicated project team.

The staff at MAC UK are fully dedicated to running Clinical Trials and as such the centre is well known for its recruitment capabilities. Our full time recruitment staff utilise many different subject recruitment techniques to ensure fast patient enrolment.
The clinics currently receive over 400 annual referrals from primary and secondary care. In addition the patients access the Memory assessment and research facilities through:
- Monthly newsletters
- Advertising: Direct Mail, Radio, Newspaper, Local Society Meetings and Arranging Presentations
- Fliers posted at primary care surgeries, etc
- Staff dedicated to marketing clinical trials
We focus on the development and maintenance of our databases for specialised populations for clinical trials. With the expertise to recruit patients very quickly into clinical trials we are able to produce cleaner, usable results faster than many other sites. This distinct advantage is passed on to our sponsors enabling them to conduct high quality studies in a cost effective, convenient and quality environment.

Our offices are equipped with telephones, fax, photocopiers and personalised monitoring facilities to ensure visitors are comfortable and have access to all facilities that they require.
